ABOUT PA SOLDIER'S AND SAILOR'S HOME:
The Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home (PSSH) in Erie is the oldest of six veterans homes, opening in 1886. Located on 26 acres by Lake Erie, the site features many reminders of those who served, like the "Mad Anthony" Wayne Blockhouse, the Avenue of Flags for all five military branches, and a Civil War cannon. Visitors quickly see that American heroes have lived here for over 100 years.
WHAT AKPR DOES:
AKPR assisted with marketing and promotion of events and graphic design needs. Key projects
included the Navy Band concert at the Warner Theatre, the "Sounds of the Season" concert
with the Erie Philharmonic, the annual volunteer reception, and the upcoming Air Force Band
concert.
